DELAVAN – After drawing a spirited crowd for its inaugural event last year, the Optimist Club of Delavan is preparing to bring back one of the community’s most unique fundraisers. The club’s annual “A Night at the Mouse Races” will be held Saturday, Nov. 7, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Farmhouse Event Center.

This year’s theme, “Circus Extravaganza,” promises an evening filled with colorful entertainment, friendly competition and plenty of excitement as guests cheer on a series of lively mouse races. Building on the success of last year’s Roaring Twenties-inspired event, organizers are once again inviting residents to enjoy a one-of-a-kind night while supporting a worthwhile cause.

Attendees will be treated to an appetizer buffet featuring many Farmhouse favorites. Draft beer and soda are included with admission, and a cash bar will be available for guests seeking additional beverage options.

The fundraiser serves as an important source of support for the Delavan Optimist Club’s youth and community programs.

Last year’s debut edition of the fundraiser attracted nearly 100 attendees, who embraced the Roaring Twenties theme with period attire, spirited wagering on the mouse races and enthusiastic participation in games and raffle-style activities. Organizers hope the new circus-themed event will capture the same sense of fun while introducing fresh surprises and entertainment.

“A Night at the Mouse Races” offers a blend of socializing, lighthearted competition and community spirit, making it a memorable evening for both longtime supporters and first-time attendees.

Tickets and sponsorship opportunities will be announced in the coming weeks. The Optimist Club encourages anyone interested in supporting local youth programs to watch for additional details and secure their participation early.

With racing mice, great food, refreshments and a festive Circus Extravaganza atmosphere, the Optimist Club is aiming to make this year’s event another crowd-pleasing success while raising funds that benefit the Delavan community.
