Bashar’s brought a little Tennessee flair to Delavan on Sept. 25 as the local restaurant hosted a Dolly Parton Day celebration inspired by the country music icon’s classic hit “9 to 5.”

Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed a menu of Southern comfort food specials alongside Bashar’s regular offerings. Featured dishes included Southern fried chicken, catfish fingers, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, and skillet cornbread. Specialty drinks such as the Pink Dolly, Peach Sweet Tea Smash, and Dirt Road Martini added to the festive atmosphere, while peach cobbler and strawberry rhubarb desserts rounded out the menu.

Parton’s greatest hits played throughout the night as patrons embraced the theme by wearing pink in honor of the “Queen of Country.” Hourly raffles offered guests chances to win prizes.

A highlight of the evening was the Best Dressed in Pink contest, with attendees showing off creative outfits. Alexandria Fox earned top honors in the “Best Dressed Dolly” contest, capturing the spirit of the event.
