A cherished figure in the community will take center stage at this year’s Fall Festival Parade, as lifelong resident Sandra Denman has been named the 2026 Grand Marshal.

The announcement, shared by local organizers Steven and Kelly Watts, celebrates Denman’s decades of dedication to preserving and sharing Delavan’s history. Known for her work as editor of The Delavan Times, Denman has also been an active volunteer with the Delavan Community Historical Society and a proud member of the Delavan Alumni Association, representing the Class of 1958.

Organizers say Denman’s lifelong commitment to documenting the town’s stories makes her a fitting choice to lead the parade down Main Street.
The patriotic-themed parade, marking the nation’s 250th birthday, is scheduled for Monday, September 7, at 10:30 a.m. Residents are encouraged to attend and honor Denman’s contributions to the community.
