Ivan H. Martin, 96, of Delavan, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Lincoln Village Healthcare Center in Lincoln, Illinois.

He was born on February 24, 1930, to John and Nita Widmer. Ivan married the love of his life, Velma Otis, on December 17, 1950.

He is survived by his children: Steve (Patti) Martin of Delavan, Lanette Martin of Hopedale, Greg (Brandy) Martin of Arkansas, and daughter‑in‑law Pam Martin of Vermont. His grandchildren include Grant (Christina) Martin of Bourbonnais, Brandi (Kasey) Groenewold of Delavan, Sarah (Chris) Pflotner of Knoxville, Iowa, Travis Krause of Delavan, Matthew and Claire Martin of New York, and Alexandria Martin of Arkansas. He is also survived by six great‑grandchildren.

Ivan was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Velma; his son, Larry Martin; and his granddaughter, Abigail.

He dedicated 45 years of service to Caterpillar before his retirement. Per his wishes, no services will be held.
