Bryson Horning Awarded Scholarship
The Hopedale Medical Foundation has recognized Delavan High School alumnus Bryson Horning, awarding him the $1,000 Orville Augsburger/Dorene Oehler Memorial Scholarship as part of its 2026 scholarship program. Horning, a 2025 graduate of Delavan High School, was selected by an independent panel of judges who reviewed applications from students across the region pursuing degrees in agriculture and healthcare fields.
Horning, the son of Lori and Joshua Horning, is currently a freshman at Olivet Nazarene University, where he is majoring in Kinesiology on the Pre-Physical Therapy track. His academic focus aligns with the foundation’s mission to support students preparing for careers that strengthen community health and well‑being.
Since its establishment in 1980, the Hopedale Medical Foundation has awarded more than $638,000 in scholarships to local students. The Augsburger/Oehler Memorial Scholarship, one of the foundation’s longstanding awards, honors individuals who demonstrated a commitment to service and community—values reflected in Horning’s academic goals and career aspirations.
