The Delavan City Council has approved the hiring of Brian Baylor as the city’s new City Administrator. Baylor, who previously served as City Administrator for Hanna City and worked as a consultant with Hometown Consulting, has recently been assisting Delavan with its budgeting process during ongoing financial planning efforts.

City officials said Baylor’s background in municipal management and his familiarity with Delavan’s current fiscal challenges made him a strong candidate for the role. Under the agreement approved by the council, Baylor will serve as an Independent Contractor and will be paid $34,000 per year.

His appointment is expected to provide continuity as the city continues long‑term budgeting and administrative improvements, supporting stable operations throughout the coming year.
