Maddie Lowers locks in on the mound, gearing up to fire the next pitch as Addi Fisher stands ready at first, poised for whatever comes her way.

Panthers Power Past Manual Behind Fisher’s Grand Slam

The Delavan Varsity Panthers wasted no time seizing control on Wednesday, rolling to a commanding 20–2 victory over Peoria Manual behind an explosive start and a lights‑out performance in the circle.

Delavan’s momentum ignited in the bottom of the first when Addi Fisher launched a grand slam to center field, driving in four runs on her lone hit of the day and putting the Panthers firmly in charge from the outset.

The offense kept humming in the second inning. Karsyn Kramer singled, Kara Lowry doubled and Aubrey Fann added a run‑scoring single as Delavan continued to stack on early pressure.

The Panthers broke things wide open in the third, capitalizing on a string of defensive miscues. Three errors and a run scored on a wild pitch pushed the lead even further, each misplay bringing another Panther across the plate.

In the circle, Maddie Lowers set the tone with a dominant outing. The right‑hander allowed just two hits and two runs (one earned) over four innings, striking out nine while walking three.

Delavan’s lineup showed patience as well as power, drawing eight walks on the day. Lowry led the team with a perfect 2‑for‑2 performance at the plate, while Charlie Green worked a team‑high two walks.

Peoria Manual managed two hits and two RBIs from the heart of its order, but never found a way to slow Delavan’s relentless attack.
With the win, the Panthers continue to build momentum behind disciplined at‑bats, sharp pitching and timely power — all on full display in Wednesday’s runaway victory.
