Mia Mammen locks in at the plate moments before launching her solo home run in the first inning

Panthers Flash Power at Home but Fall 17–6 to Dee‑Mack

The Delavan Varsity Panthers showed plenty of power on their home field Tuesday evening, including solo home runs from both Mia Mammen and Addi Fisher, but an early surge by Dee‑Mack proved too much to overcome in a 17–6 loss.

Fisher delivered a standout performance at the plate, going 3‑for‑4 with a single, a double, and a solo home run in the fourth inning. Her three‑hit day matched teammate Nola Houston, who also collected three hits.

Delavan struck quickly in the bottom of the first when Mammen blasted a solo homer to left, trimming the early deficit after Dee‑Mack capitalized on walks, errors, and timely contact to build an 8–1 lead through two innings.

The Panthers mounted their biggest rally in the fourth. Fisher’s home run sparked a four‑run surge, followed by an RBI single from Houston, an RBI double from Jaylyn Diekhoff, and an RBI single from Karsyn Kramer to pull Delavan within 12–5.

Kramer finished 2‑for‑4 and led the Panthers with two RBIs. Delavan totaled 12 hits on the night and turned a crisp double play defensively.
Mammen handled pitching duties for Delavan, working five innings and striking out two.

Despite the loss, the Panthers showed resilience at the plate and continued to generate quality contact throughout the middle innings. Delavan looks to carry that offensive momentum into its next matchup later this week.
