Homecoming royalty Kaelen Morris (left) and Ella Green (right) share a proud moment after being crowned King and Queen at Friday night’s celebration.

Delavan Celebrates Homecoming With Royalty and Recognition

Delavan High School’s Homecoming celebration delivered a full evening of tradition, talent, and heartfelt community pride on Friday night, highlighted by the crowning of this year’s royalty and the induction of an accomplished group of athletes into the DHS Wall of Fame.

Morris and Green Crowned

Cheers filled Poppenga Gym as Kaelen Morris and Ella Green were announced as the 2025–26 Homecoming King and Queen. The pair received their crowns at center court, surrounded by classmates, families, and a packed crowd of Panther supporters.

Wall of Fame Inductions Honor Excellence

Homecoming also served as the backdrop for a remarkable slate of DHS Wall of Fame inductions, recognizing both individual athletes and standout teams whose achievements have shaped Delavan’s athletic legacy.

This year’s inductees included:

  • Girls 4x800m Relay Team (Elyse Brinkmeyer, Annabelle Lafary, Drew Robison, Khloe Stockham).
  • Girls Cross Country Team (Elyse Brinkmeyer, Isabella Houston, Alaina Karker, Annabelle Lafary, Olivia Nehmelmann, Drew Robison, Khloe Stockham).
  • Ryan Schmidgall - Track
  • Lainey Klokkenga - Softball
  • Braden Arrenholz - Baseball
  • Coriell Green - Track and Cross Country

Because he suited up for the varsity basketball game that night, Corie Green received his induction before tipoff. The remaining honorees were recognized during a special halftime ceremony, drawing enthusiastic applause from the crowd as their accomplishments were read aloud.

The celebration underscored the depth of athletic talent that has come through Delavan’s programs—runners, throwers, ballplayers, and entire teams whose dedication and achievements continue to inspire current students.

National Anthem Performed by DHS Alumni Trio

Adding to the evening’s sense of tradition, three recent graduates returned to lend their voices to the event. Jayley Fisher, McKenna Diekhoff, and Kenzi Espenchied, all members of the DHS Class of 2025, delivered a stirring performance of the National Anthem that set a proud tone for the night’s festivities.

A Night That Showcased the Heart of Delavan

Between the royalty, the recognitions, and the energy of a home-court basketball crowd, the 2026 Homecoming celebration captured everything that makes Delavan special: community, continuity, and a deep appreciation for the students—past and present—who represent the Panthers with pride.
