This October 29, Christopher and Jessica Sydney mark 20 years of marriage—and Delavan is raising a glass (and maybe a firehose or a chalkboard eraser) in celebration.

Married in 2005, the Sydney's have built a life full of laughter, teamwork, and community spirit. Christopher, Delavan’s Fire Chief, is known for his calm under pressure and quick wit around the station. Jessica, a teacher’s aide at Delavan CUSD 703, brings heart and humor to the classroom every day.

Together, they’ve raised two boys who keep them on their toes: Aiden, a student at Delavan High School, and Ethan, who’s lighting up Delavan Elementary with his energy and charm.

Whether it’s a school carnival, a fire department pancake breakfast, or just cheering from the sidelines, the Sydney's show up—and they bring the fun with them.
