Boys Varsity Golf Claims Fifth Straight Tomahawk Title

The Delavan Boys Varsity Golf Team etched another chapter in its growing legacy Monday, September 29, clinching its fifth consecutive Tomahawk Conference Championship at Highland Park Golf Course in Bloomington, IL. With a commanding team score of 321, the Panthers once again proved they’re the team to beat.
Leading the charge was sophomore Grady Burrell, who fired a stellar 74 to earn second place individually. Just one stroke behind, Caden Rassi secured third with a 75, showcasing the depth and consistency that has become Delavan’s trademark. Trace Kight-Garlisch (85) and Hudson Briggs (87) rounded out the scoring, finishing 9th and 12th respectively, each contributing crucial rounds to the team’s overall success.
Coach and community alike celebrated the milestone, noting the team’s poise under pressure and its continued dominance in conference play. With Regionals looming on Wednesday, October 1—also at Highland Park—the Panthers are poised to carry their momentum into postseason competition.
