Blood Drive Honors Memory of Summer Stahl

The Delavan Baptist Church will host an American Red Cross blood drive on Thursday, August 28, from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The event is held in loving memory of Summer Stahl, a cherished member of the Delavan Baptist Church community who passed away from brain cancer in 2023.

Summer’s warmth, resilience, and unwavering faith left a lasting imprint on those who knew her. Whether volunteering at church events or offering quiet encouragement to friends and neighbors, she embodied the spirit of compassion that continues to inspire the congregation.

“Summer will always be remembered in our hearts at DBC,” reads a message from the church, accompanied by a pink heart—a symbol of the love she shared so freely.

The blood drive is a way for the community to honor Summer’s legacy by giving back in a life-saving way. Donors of all blood types are encouraged to participate. To schedule a donation, contact Linda Robinson at 309-361-0237.

Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are preferred to help ensure a smooth and timely experience for all participants. The Red Cross reminds donors to bring a photo ID and to hydrate well before their appointment.

In a time when the need for blood donations remains critical, this event offers a meaningful opportunity to support patients in need while remembering a life that touched so many.
