Disc Golf Course Installation Underway
Hole Sponsorships Available to Support New Feature
Crews have officially broken ground on Delavan’s newest recreational addition: a disc golf course in Lake Park. Over the past week, workers have been busy digging and marking holes throughout the park in preparation for installing the course’s basket posts. The layout will wind through the park’s natural landscape, offering players a scenic and accessible way to enjoy the sport.
The disc golf course is part of a broader effort to expand outdoor amenities in Delavan and encourage year-round community engagement. City officials say the course will be free to use and designed to accommodate both beginners and seasoned players.
To help offset the cost of installation, the city is offering hole sponsorships to residents and local businesses. For a donation of $250, sponsors will receive a commemorative sign placed at one of the course’s holes, recognizing their contribution to the project. The signs will remain in place for the life of the course, serving as a lasting tribute to community support.
Residents interested in sponsoring a hole can contact City Hall or visit the Parks Department’s page on the city website for more details.
Lake Park’s disc golf course is expected to be completed in September.
Also in Lake Park, the sand volleyball pit has been removed, and grass has been seeded in the area it previously occupied.
