It's Back-to-School Time
Delavan Schools Ready to Launch 2025–26 Academic Year
On Wednesday, August 20, students across Delavan will return to classrooms for the official start of the 2025–26 school year. With sharpened pencils, new faces, and a renewed sense of purpose, Delavan Schools are poised to welcome learners of all ages into a space carefully prepared for growth, connection, and discovery.
New Year, New Momentum
The district enters the new year with a continued focus on academic excellence and community engagement. Updates this fall include an updated math and reading curriculum aimed at improving test scores as part of a comprehensive School Improvement Plan (SIP)—an initiative shaped by feedback from teachers and community members during last spring’s curriculum review sessions.
Several new staff members join the district this year, including Benjamin Haushalter (music) and Sara Alibabaei (art), both bringing fresh perspectives and a strong commitment to student success.
Custodial Team Honored for Summer Efforts
While students enjoyed their summer break, Delavan’s custodial staff worked tirelessly to prepare the buildings for a safe and welcoming return. Their efforts included deep-cleaning classrooms, refinishing floors, and refreshing common areas.
Looking Ahead
As the first bell rings on August 20, families can expect a year filled with academic rigor, extracurricular opportunities, and a continued emphasis on community values. The district encourages parents and guardians to stay engaged through regular newsletters, school board meetings, and upcoming open house events.
