Delavan FCCLA Team Places Third in Nation
In a dazzling display of discipline, teamwork, and leadership, the Delavan FCCLA Parliamentary Procedure Team soared to third place nationally at the 2025 FCCLA National Leadership Conference, held in Orlando, Florida.
Representing Delavan with pride, the team—Elisha Waggoner, Izzy Brothwood, Camryn Warner, Kylin Brockhouse, and Hayden Koehler—showcased their mastery of parliamentary procedure in one of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America's most rigorous competitions. Their performance, judged on precision, structure, knowledge, and real-world application of formal meeting rules, placed them among the top contenders in the nation.
More than 6,000 FCCLA members from across the country gathered in Orlando for the annual conference, which blends competitive events, workshops, networking, and leadership development. The Parliamentary Procedure competition requires students to demonstrate correct handling of motions, debate strategies, and officer roles during a simulated meeting—an intensive event that tests both preparation and poise.
Delavan’s team continues a proud tradition of FCCLA excellence, inspiring future leaders to take initiative and engage in civic life. Their success isn’t just a trophy—it's a spotlight on what focused effort and hometown pride can accomplish.
Hats off to Elisha, Izzy, Camryn, Kylin, and Hayden for bringing national recognition to Delavan and for proving that great things happen when young leaders step up.
