Arrenholz Earns Prestigious All-State Honor

The Delavan Panthers baseball program continues to build a legacy of excellence as senior standout Braden Arrenholz has been named to the Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association (IHSBCA) Class 1A All-State Team. The recognition marks the culmination of a remarkable high school career and places him among Delavan’s baseball elite as only the fourth player in school history to earn the honor—joining Sam Hodges (2016), Charlie Hodges (2019), and Cole Noreuil (2023, 2024).

Arrenholz’s final season in a Panthers uniform was one for the books. The smooth-swinging lefty opened the year with a clutch two-run double to deep center in Delavan’s 12–6 win over Clinton and never looked back. On the mound, he baffled hitters with an 81 mph fastball complemented by a nasty changeup in the mid-70s and a looping curveball in the high 60s, demonstrating poise and command throughout the season.

But it wasn’t just his numbers that stood out. Braden's leadership and work ethic set the tone for a young and hungry Delavan squad. Whether tracking down fly balls in the outfield or delivering in key moments at the plate, he led by example.

Arrenholz leaves behind a proud legacy and big cleats to fill. His All-State selection is a fitting final chapter to a remarkable high school baseball journey
