Council Approves Disc Golf Course at Lake Park
The Delavan City Council has given the green light for a new recreational addition to Lake Park: a disc golf course. In a unanimous vote, council members approved local resident Nathan Brooks' proposal to develop the course, marking a significant step forward in enhancing the city’s outdoor offerings.
The project will be funded up to $6,000, with costs being offset by funds raised through hole sponsorships and direct donations to the initiative. The motion to approve the proposal was made by Alderman Joshua Lusher and seconded by Alderman Joe Watts.
Lake Park, a popular site for outdoor recreation, will soon see the addition of the disc golf course, offering an affordable and enjoyable pastime for locals and visitors alike. Community members eager to support the project can contribute through sponsorship opportunities or direct donations.
With approval secured, efforts will now turn toward planning and installation, with anticipation growing for the course’s completion.
