Carlton Honored With Prestigious "Gold Star" at FFA Convention
The Illinois FFA Convention, held at the Bank of Springfield Center on June 10, was a momentous occasion for Delavan FFA President Callie Carlton, who was awarded the "Gold Star" President Award in recognition of her outstanding leadership and dedication to agricultural education.
Carlton, who has served as the Delavan FFA Chapter President, has been instrumental in fostering growth and innovation within her chapter. Her commitment to agricultural advocacy, mentorship, and community engagement earned her a spot among the top-ranked FFA presidents in Illinois. The "Gold Star" distinction is awarded to presidents who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, service, and impact throughout their tenure.
Beyond Carlton’s achievement, the Delavan FFA chapter also received several prestigious honors at the convention. The chapter was recognized with the Program of Activities (POA) Award for Building Communities and the POA Award for Strengthening Agriculture, celebrating its efforts to support and enhance local and agricultural communities. Additionally, Delavan FFA was named the State FFA Premier Chapter for Section 12, a significant distinction that highlights their dedication to leadership, service, and agricultural excellence.
