Fire Department Hosts Open House
The Delavan Fire Department is inviting the community to a special open house event on Saturday, June 21, from noon to 3 p.m. The event offers a unique opportunity for residents to meet their local volunteer firefighters, explore the equipment they use, and learn about how to become part of the department.
Attendees can look forward to a variety of interactive activities, including a car airbag demonstration, a flashover simulation, and an obstacle course designed to showcase the challenges firefighters face in action. Children will have the chance to operate a fire hose and take a ride on a fire truck, adding to the excitement of the day.
In addition to the demonstrations, guests will be treated to complimentary hot dogs, cookies, and drinks, making it a fun and educational experience for the entire family.
The open house aims to strengthen community ties and encourage new volunteers to join the ranks of Delavan’s fire department. Whether you are interested in firefighting or just want to show your support, the event promises to be an engaging afternoon for all.
For more information, visit the Delavan Fire Department or reach out to local officials. Come by, enjoy the festivities, and celebrate the dedication of the men and women who keep the community safe!
