Arrenholz Dominates on the Mound
Panthers Cruise to 11-1 Victory
The Delavan Panthers showcased their dominance on Thursday evening at Dozer Park, securing a huge 11-1 win over the Midwest Central Raiders behind a remarkable performance by pitcher Braden Arrenholz.
Arrenholz was untouchable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over four shutout innings, allowing just three hits and no walks. His commanding presence set the tone for the Panthers, who wasted no time taking control of the game offensively.
Delavan jumped to an early lead in the top of the first inning when Wyatt Pierson delivered an RBI single, followed by Bryson Horning’s two-run double, giving the Panthers a 3-0 advantage. Horning extended the lead further with another RBI single in the third inning, making it 4-0.
The Panthers' bats stayed hot, tallying 12 hits in the game. Horning led the offensive charge, driving in four runs on a perfect 2-for-2 day at the plate. Arrenholz, batting leadoff, contributed three hits in four at-bats, while Pierson and Corbin Soldal each recorded multiple hits to keep the Panthers’ momentum rolling.
In relief for Delavan, Corie Green pitched a scoreless sixth inning, striking out two batters and walking one while surrendering no hits.
With this commanding win in the bag, the Panthers turn their focus to their next game at home against Heyworth on Saturday, looking to continue their impressive season.
