Panthers Triumph With Season-High Score

The Delavan Panthers showcased their prowess on Tuesday by securing a resounding 16-0 victory over the Hartsburg-Emden Stags, marking their biggest win. The Panthers' stellar performance behind a season-high score ensured they never let the Stags get on the board.

Lainey Klokkenga was instrumental in the Panthers' triumph, delivering an exceptional performance both on the mound and in the batter's box. Klokkenga pitched four innings without allowing an earned run, conceding only two hits while striking out seven. She has recorded at least seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. At bat, Klokkenga went 3-for-4, driving in four runs, scoring twice, and hitting two doubles—the most RBIs she's posted since last season.

Kara Lowry and Addi Fisher were key contributors at the plate. Lowry scored two runs, stole two bases, and went 1-for-2, while Fisher also scored two runs, stole a base, and went 1-for-2. Fisher's performance marked the most runs she's posted since April 2024. Miley Harper was also on fire, scoring two runs, stealing a base, and reaching base in three out of her four plate appearances.

Delavan's victory improved their record to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Delavan will travel to face Brimfield at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
